OSWEGO – State Representative Mark Batinick (R-Plainfield) announces his first annual Senior Health Fair will be held from 10:00am – 12:00pm on Tuesday, July 28 at the Oswego Senior Center, located at 156 E Washington Street in Oswego. The event is free and open to the public. “Helping local seniors maintain a healthy and active lifestyle is among my most important priorities,” Rep. Batinick said. “I encourage you to visit our fair and take advantage of the many outstanding local programs and services available to seniors in our community.”
40 different community organizations and state/local service providers who offer programs and resources for seniors are participating in the fair. Information covers a wide range of topics including health care, recreation, nutrition, caregiver needs, nursing home and long-term care, supportive living and much more. The State Treasurer’s office also will conduct I-Cash searches for seniors. I-Cash is a lost assets search that the state may be holding for you.
Rep. Batinick’s office is also collecting used cell phones to donate to the Kendall and Will County Sheriff’s Offices for seniors. Attendees are encouraged to bring a used cell phone for collection at the Senior Health Fair.
