PLAINFIELD—State Representative Mark Batinick (R-Plainfield) and Plainfield Township are hosting a free interactive workshop for teenagers in his 97th District! The Teen Edge Workshop will be held on Thursday, March 26th from 6:00-9:00pm at Plainfield Township Community Center, 15014 S. Des Plaines.
Teen Edge is an organization that was founded to help teens develop essential life skills that help them achieve success now and in the future. According to founder, Tracy Vittorini, teenagers are future leaders, innovators and thinkers—and these workshops help them understand the importance of bettering and investing in themselves. The workshop on March 26th is designed help teens with essential life skills and will help them ‘get the edge.’ Communication, goal setting, and likeability are just some of the topics that will be covered during the workshop.
“This won’t be just another boring lecture,” said Rep. Batinick. “This event is meant to be highly motivating for high school students, to help give them the skills they need to succeed in life and I am excited to bring this great opportunity right to teens in our community.”
