PLAINFIELD—Today the General Assembly received notice that legislative session would resume next week in Springfield. State Representative Mark Batinick (R-Plainfield) released the following statement:
“I have been pushing for lawmakers to get back to Springfield for weeks now. I am pleased that as lawmakers, we can finally resume what we were elected to do, and represent the voices of our constituencies.
The Executive Orders issued solely by the Governor impact all Illinoisans, and when we return to session next week, I expect to vote on these decisions to determine how best to proceed through this pandemic.”
