Batinick Sworn in as State Rep for 97th District

SPRINGFIELD—State Representative Mark Batinick (R-Plainfield) was sworn into office today to continue serving the 97th Legislative District in the 102nd General Assembly. Representative Batinick will not only be starting his fourth term serving portions of Will and Kendall Counties but will begin his second term as the House Republican Floor Leader:

“There is much we must accomplish this year for the State of Illinois,” said Rep. Batinick. “I definitely have a sense of urgency as we start day one of this new General Assembly and I am ready to hit the ground running to work on behalf of the people of Illinois. The single largest concern we have right now is ethics, and I will continue to push for comprehensive ethics reform until it is achieved. Until we adopt better ethics laws, we will never be able to permanently solve our state’s dire budget issues.”
