PLAINFIELD – In response to Governor Pritzker’s press conference announcing required universal inside masking for Illinois schools and day cares grades P-12, required vaccinations for state employees working in congregate facilities, and additional COVID-19 mitigations, State Representative Mark Batinick (R-Plainfield) released the following response:
“Any mandate on COVID-19 mitigations should be tied to reasonable metrics and be ‘easy on, easy off’ — automatically being implemented and removed when specific thresholds are reached. This process must include the General Assembly and any future mandates must be linked to clearly defined metrics.”
