PLAINFIELD – Inviting constituents to participate, State Representative Mark Batinick (R-Plainfield) is hosting a series of radio town halls. “Policy Nuance with State Representative Mark Batinick” will begin on the air on WJOL (AM 1340) on Wednesday, August 25th and Wednesday, September 1st from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. Constituents are encouraged to share their opinions on legislation in Springfield and issues in Illinois.
“Today’s issues are complex. Constituents deserve and should demand more than a talking point, 280 character tweet, or even an email. I am going to go from topic to topic detailing how to make Illinois a better state and address current events,” said Rep. Batinick. “I appreciate constituent input on legislation from the General Assembly and the topics that are important to them. This will be a great forum to have this conversation with our community.”
Constituents can submit their questions by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org to potentially be read on the air and answered by Rep. Batinick. The show will also be live streamed and available for listening following its release.
The topic for the first show will focus on COVID-19, masks in schools, and more.
Additional on-the-air radio town halls with Rep. Batinick following September 1st will be scheduled and constituents are encouraged to stay tuned for further updates.
