PLAINFIELD – State Representative Mark Batinick (R-Plainfield) is hosting his annual Children’s Safety Expo and Touch a Truck on Saturday, September 25th in Plainfield. This outside event will be held from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Plainfield Central High School parking lot (24120 Fort Beggs Drive, Plainfield).
“After the COVID-19 pandemic prevented us from hosting our annual Kids Safety Expo last year, I’m delighted to bring it back to Plainfield this year,” said Rep. Batinick. “This expo will give 97th District children and parents the information they need about how to stay safe. We will have a large number of community groups, businesses and local originations on hand with information and resources, fun demonstrations including K-9 units, and an exotic reptile and bug show. I welcome all 97th District families to join us at this event!”
18 touch-a-trucks, 6 demonstrations, and over 40 participants will be at this free expo, which will also include free refreshments and giveaways. Information on programs like I-Cash, Bright Start College Savings Program, and After School Programs will be provided as well.
