PLAINFIELD – Next week, State Representative Mark Batinick (R-Plainfield) is hosting a College Financial Aid & FAFSA Workshop in Plainfield. Rep. Batinick invites constituents on Tuesday, October 26th from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the Plainfield Community Center (15014 S. Des Plaines St.) in Plainfield for this event.
“Attending college or university is a significant investment, requiring families to make long-term financial preparations,” said Rep. Batinick. “I’m happy to be hosting this event again to help families with a hands-on tutorial to help equip them financially for this next step in their lives.”
This event will include a presentation that will cover average college costs, types of financial aid, and how to apply. There will also be a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) completion workshop. Participants are asked to please bring their 2020 federal income tax returns and their laptops. Assistance and information for Spanish-speaking participants will also be available.
Masks will also be required for all attending and participating in this event.
Additional information, including what individuals need to file for FAFSA, can be found on Rep. Batinick’s website here.
Constituent questions are welcome by calling (815) 254-0000.
