VIDEO: Rep. Batinick Lambasts Comical Sticker Mandate on 2-Cent Gas Increase Delay

Rep. Batinick speaks on the House floor about legislation that would require gas stations notify consumers of a stop on a 2-cent increase in the gas tax with a sticker. He said the idea sounded almost like a Saturday Night Live skit and pushes the line on campaign ethics. He also drew attention to legislation he filed, House Bill 5723, that would cap the gas sales tax at 18-cents per gallon to prevent a government windfall of revenue on the backs of middle and lower-income consumers during periods of high inflation.
