PLAINFIELD – Next week, State Representative Mark Batinick (R-Plainfield) is hosting a College Financial Aid & FAFSA Workshop in Plainfield. Rep. Batinick invites constituents on Tuesday, October 25th from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the Plainfield Community Center (15014 S. Des Plaines St.) in Plainfield for this event.
“Preparing for college financially helps students and parents take this important new step in an affordable way,” said Rep. Batinick. “I’m delighted to host this event again to help families with a hands-on tutorial to help give them the tools for this next chapter in their and their children’s lives.”
This event will include a presentation that will cover average college costs, types of financial aid, and how to apply. There will also be a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) completion workshop. Participants are asked to please bring their 2021 federal income tax returns and their laptops. Assistance and information for Spanish-speaking participants will also be available.
Additional information, including what individuals need to file for FAFSA, can be found on Rep. Batinick’s website at RepBatinick.com.
